Day 5 : Acts 2:37-47
Read Acts 2:37-47
Helpful Background Information:
On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came to the disciples, just as God had promised. Peter stood up and preached to the crowd, explaining that Jesus, who had been crucified, was the Lord and Messiah. His message was powerful, and the people felt deeply moved. They asked, “What should we do?”
Reflection Questions:
John the Baptist, Jesus and Peter all called people to repentance in their messages. (Mark 1:4; Mark 1:9-11; Acts 2:38) Why do you think repentance is such an important first step in following Jesus?
What are some things that repentance and faith lead to in verses 38-47?
Both Mark 1:1-15 and Acts 2:37-47 highlight the urgency of responding to God. What keeps people from repentance and belief? How can we overcome those barriers in our own lives?
